Wood takes over 100 years before it can be used as a material for wooden furniture.

100年余りの長い年数をかけて成長した木材を使って作られた家具、
作る家具は、少しでも長く使える様に修理して、創意工夫して創り、
大事にしていきたいと考えています。

OUKAは、15年間家具椅子張職人として生きてきた余部真一が2022年年初に創業しました。
木製家具を長く使える様に、椅子張替、家具修理、家具製作をすることを生業としています。
これを人生の生業として、人生を(謳歌)する決意から屋号を(OUKA)としました。

OUKA was founded in early 2022 by Shinichi Amabe who has been a furniture upholsterer for 15 years.OUKA provides chair reupholstery,furniture repair,and furniture production.I decided that furniture upholsterer would be my vocation in life and with determination to enjoy life, I named my shop OUKA.

Shinichi Amabe

“世界一座りやすい椅子”を創る。

1984年大阪府生まれ。
学生時代にインテリアショップでY‐chair(CARL HANSEN&SON CH24/Hans J.Wegner’ｓ Masterpiece)に出会い、椅子への好奇心を抱く。
大学在学中そのインテリアショップでアルバイトをはじめて3年間北欧家具に触れながら学ぶ。
大学卒業後は北海道旭川の家具メーカーに就職して7年間椅子/家具製造に携わり、その後大阪の家具メーカーと椅子張り会社で８年間家具製造と椅子張替業に携わる。
2022年38歳で創業して現在に至る。

Born in Osaka in 1984. When I was a student, I encountered Y-chair (CARL HANSEN&SON CH24/Hans J. Wegner’s Masterpiece) at an interior shop and became curious about chairs. While attending university, I started working part-time at the interior design shop and learned about Scandinavian furniture for three years. After graduating from university, I worked for a furniture manufacturer in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, and was worked in chair/furniture manufacturing for 7 years, and then worked in furniture manufacturing and chair reupholstery for 8 years at a furniture manufacturer and upholstery company in Osaka. I founded in 2022 at the age of 38 and continues to this day.
